✂️ How We Make Our Protest Signs
Here’s how you can make your own high-quality 20x30 inch protest signs, just like we do:

Designing the Layout
Use a program like Microsoft Publisher or any design software that supports custom canvas sizes. Set your canvas size to 20 x 30 inches, and place your image how you want it. -
Printing in Sections
Print the image across multiple standard-size pages (usually 8.5 x 11 inches, landscape).
For example, a 20x30 poster might print on 9 pages (3 across and 3 down). - Cutting and Overlapping
- Cut the bottom edge of the top row pages.
- Leave a small white lip on the top edge of the second row so it can go underneath the top.
- Repeat for the third row.
Do the same left to right, cutting the right edge of each page and leaving the left side to overlap.

Assembling the Puzzle
Lay the pages out like a puzzle. Use clear tape (like Scotch tape) to hold the whole image together on the back. -
Mounting to Poster Board
Apply a thin coat of matte medium or a similar paintable adhesive to a thick poster board. Gently place your assembled printout on top, smoothing out air bubbles carefully. -
Sealing the Surface
Brush a thin layer of matte medium over the top. It will dry clear, giving a finished, sealed look. - Backing and Reinforcement (Optional)
For a more durable sign, tape or glue another poster board to the back. Reinforce the edges with duct tape if desired.
💡 Tip: Dollar stores often carry poster boards and tape. For matte medium, check local craft stores.
