Welcome to the Project 2025 Assistant
In these tumultuous times, many of us find ourselves grappling with a series of unprecedented events: the COVID-19 pandemic, the Capitol insurrection, contentious Supreme Court decisions, and now, Project 2025. The current state of affairs often feels surreal, like something out of a dystopian film.
New Tools to Help You Fight Back
This website has evolved dramatically since its launch. Now, you'll find:
- An interactive protest map where you can find local protests and boycotts to join
- A free library of printable protest signs, including how-to instructions for assembling large 20x30" posters at home
- A cleaned-up version of the 1100-page Big Ugly Bill with a clickable table of contents
- Video podcasts exploring Project 2025 (with more if demand grows)
- Built-in accessibility: on-site translation tools and a built-in screen reader for multilingual, inclusive access
Why This Site Exists
The journey into understanding Project 2025 began in June of 2024, when we first caught wind of the document. Using ChatGPT, we began a deep dive—section by section—culminating in a thorough breakdown of each proposal and its potential impact on our democracy.
Exposing the Threats in Project 2025
This website includes:
- Summaries of every section
- Detailed analyses identifying red flags
- Critical questions and concerns about democratic erosion, constitutional violations, and human rights rollbacks
- Direct quotes that expose the document’s intentions
Why You Should Care
The Big Ugly Bill has already passed the House. It funds military build-ups in the Arctic—suggesting preparations for a Greenland invasion. It cuts funding to Medicare and Medicaid. It raises the age for Social Security. It rewards ICE agents with cash bonuses while encouraging vigilantism and racial profiling. Peaceful protesters are being attacked by militarized police forces, ICE, and even the Marines, while Trump calls for crackdowns across the country.
Trump has now bombed Iran, breaking his own repeated promises that he would use diplomacy instead of force. In the past, he mocked other presidents for using military action against Iran, insisting that it was a political distraction and that he alone could prevent war through negotiation. For example, in 2011 he tweeted, "In order to get elected, Barack Obama will start a war with Iran" (NDTV, Jun. 23, 2025). In 2012 he said, "I believe that he [Obama] will attack Iran sometime prior to the election because he thinks that's the only way he can get elected" (CNN, Jan. 4, 2020). Now, Trump has done exactly that—launching military strikes on Iran, leading to Iranian retaliation against U.S. bases in Iraq and Qatar. We are dangerously close to all-out war, and the man who once said others would cause World War III appears to be provoking it himself.
Meanwhile, two state representatives and their spouses were recently shot, one couple fatally. The shooter impersonated law enforcement—highlighting the danger of allowing masked ICE agents and militarized forces to operate without accountability.
The regime is not just rewriting laws; it's rewriting the soul of the country. This administration is changing the names of military bases back to those honoring Confederate generals. Non-white immigrants are being locked out, while wealthy white applicants from South Africa—specifically white farmers Trump claimed were victims of “large-scale killings” and “genocide” (CNN, Aug. 23, 2018)—are welcomed with opened arms. Trump also promoted a “golden visa” plan to offer residency to wealthy foreigners, including Russian oligarchs and elites (Euro News, Feb. 26, 2025).
