Lucien Niemeyer is a seasoned national security expert and consultant with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He is the founder of The Niemeyer Group, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in strategic advisory services for public and private sector clients, particularly in federal programs and legislative processes. Niemeyer has also served as the CEO and Chairman of the Board at Building Cyber Security, a nonprofit organization focused on advancing physical security and cybersecurity.
Before founding The Niemeyer Group, Niemeyer held significant roles within the U.S. government, including serving as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Energy, Installations, and Environment, where he oversaw a vast real estate portfolio and was responsible for energy resilience and cybersecurity initiatives. He has also worked as a strategic advisor within the Department of Defense and served on the Senate Armed Services Committee, where he managed a broad portfolio of national security programs.
Niemeyer is an Air Force veteran, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after a distinguished career. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from The George Washington University, and a Master of National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
